Bragg Creek Team

Meet the Team!

My name is Cleo and I am beyond excited to continue my career in early childcare specifically in Outdoor learning. I believe that children are the future of our society. This is the sole reason why I wanted to become an early childhood educator; to guide and influence children through the most important years of their life, by navigating the world as their co-learner.

Outside of my role in the classroom, I spend most of my time outdoors camping, hiking, snowboarding, and napping on my paddle board. Because of my love for the rocky mountains, I am a big advocate of taking care of our planet by educating myself and those around me about the differences we can make for the future generations to come.

ECE Level 1

Hi! My name is Paige I am excited to have entered the world of childhood education and development I am currently working toward my ECE Level 1. I have two young daughters of my own and love being able to walk this journey with them. Children bring me so much joy, I have a profound sense of gratification working with them. I am eager to start my career in this field and continue working with children and watching them grow.

My family has lived in the Bragg Creek area for 40 years, we have a deep connection with this land and spending time outdoors. Outside of the classroom I enjoy cooking, working with my dogs and horses, hunting and being with my family.

Working with children is my passion. I love being part of such a special journey, helping your child to flourish and blossom into the individuals that they are.

I am a big advocate for outdoor learning and using the natural resources and materials around us to inspire our imagination. So I am excited to continue my journey with Little Forest Dwellers.

I moved from Scotland to Canada in April 2023. In my spare time I enjoy exploring nature and the outdoors with my husband and our 2 Dalmatians. I am also very social so love to spend time with friends and create new memories!

ECE Level 1

My name is Deja Wearmouth, I am a level 1 Early Childhood Educator. I’ve been in child care for a year and a half. I originally went to college for healthcare but after about a year I realized it wasn’t the right match for me. So I decided I wanted to work with children, I have loved every minute of it! I have learnt so much working with children, they have so much to teach us. I am looking to pursue my level 2 and level 3! In my spare time you’ll find me riding my horses, hanging out with my grandparents, and helping family. I’m very excited for my journey with Little Forrest Dwellers!

I was a professional cook and food writer for many years before returning to education at the
age of 50. I hold a Masters degree in Child and Adolescent Psycho therapeutic Counseling
having gained my qualification from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom in the
summer of 2016. My research dissertation focused on Eco therapy and Eco
Psychotherapy—taking therapy outdoors into open spaces. I also have experience of
volunteering at a Forest School Nursery in the United Kingdom. Adding to this, I have completed
the Alberta Government funded Child Care Orientation Course Level 1. And the Indigenous
Canada course offered by the University of Alberta in the summer of 2023.

I am a mother and grandmother who takes delight in offering both my professional skills and life
experience to help children and young people to learn, grow and thrive. I am a firm believer in
the qualities of time and attention for assisting children and young people in creating good
connections and healthy attachment.

Canadian born, I live outside of Bragg Creek, Alberta where I integrate my love of story writing
and inquiry with a love of good food, nutrition, psychotherapy, spiritual direction
( and nature connecting activities to guide others towards new
levels of inner and outer awareness. I am a facilitator for Wild Church Calgary and also enjoy
weekly hiking in and around the Foothills. When time allows you will find me outside in the
pastures near to where I live working with my neighbor's horses!
